Changelly announces that ENS tokens can now be easily and quickly exchanged with other digital assets at floating rates on our platform. Being a governance token of the ENS DAO, ENS is used for managing the treasury and key parameters of the ENS protocol.
The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a distributed, open, and extensible naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain. ENS’s job is to map human-readable names like “alex.eth” to machine-readable identifiers, such as Ethereum addresses, other cryptocurrency addresses, content hashes, and metadata. ENS also supports the “reverse resolution,” making it possible to associate metadata, such as canonical names or interface descriptions, with Ethereum addresses. Because of the hierarchical nature of ENS, anyone who owns a domain at any level may configure subdomains — for themselves or others — as desired. For instance, if Alex owns “alex.eth,” he can create “pay.alice.eth” and configure it as he wishes.
