Dusk Network (DUSK) Price

Dusk Network is a privacy blockchain designed for financial markets, featuring a public infrastructure, direct settlement finality, and strict data privacy. It is powered by Zero-Knowledge proofs and a novel Private PoS leader extraction-based consensus protocol. The blockchain is a layer-1 blockchain that supports the native Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard and confidential smart contracts.

The blockchain uses the Phoenix transaction model to bring privacy and anonymity to both transactions and smart contracts. Tokens deployed on the Dusk Network can be built on top of Zedger, a hybrid privacy-preserving model based on Phoenix, specifically designed for security tokens.

The consensus mechanism that secures the network is called Segregated Byzantine Agreement (SBA). SBA is an improved version of the underlying Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism, as it combines existing features like cryptographic sortition (lottery), stealth time-locked transactions (staking amounts), and a reputation module to increase the chances of selecting honest nodes and promoting decentralization.

DUSK tokens are used for transactions, atomic swaps, smart contract deployment, and staking for consensus. They facilitate DUSK-denominated value exchange. Future plans include adding DUSK to an on-chain governance system. Dusk Network was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
