Beacon ETH (BETH) Price

BETH (Beacon ETH) is a token that represents staked Ethereum (ETH) on the Ethereum 2.0 Beacon Chain. Ethereum 2.0 is a major upgrade to the existing Ethereum blockchain that aims to improve scalability, security and sustainability.

In the new Ethereum 2.0 network, instead of miners, validators will be responsible for maintaining the network. Validators must hold a minimum of 32 ETH to participate in the network, and they must stake their ETH as collateral to ensure they adhere to the network rules. In return, validators earn rewards in ETH for their work.

BETH is an ERC-20 token that represents ETH that has been staked on Ethereum 2.0. It is not a new cryptocurrency, but rather a representation of staked ETH on the Beacon Chain. BETH can be earned by staking ETH, and the token can be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges.

One benefit of holding BETH is that it allows ETH holders to participate in the Ethereum 2.0 network without needing to hold 32 ETH, which is the minimum amount required to become a validator. BETH can also be used as collateral for borrowing or lending platforms. It's important to note that while BETH represents staked ETH and can be traded, it is not the same as holding physical ETH. Staked ETH cannot be moved or sold until Ethereum 2.0's network upgrades are fully implemented.
