The Arweave blockchain's native coin, AR, is used in a variety of ways throughout the ecosystem. When the Arweave mainnet launched in June 2018, more than 55 million tokens (out of a total supply of 66 million) were created in the genesis block. Arweave nodes will receive the remaining tokens as block rewards.
