What is the VeChain exchange rate?
Some platforms allow you to set a price alert to be updated on any changes. But probably the easiest thing is to just look up the information on Changelly’s website or app. We make sure to adjust the rate as soon as the market price moves either up or down.
You should understand that values may rapidly change due to strong volatility in the crypto market. The figures above are meant to give you a basic understanding of price ratios between the most popular assets.
Another thing to always account for is trading fees. You might calculate the amount of funds you need for conversion but forget to include the fees associated with the transaction. Luckily for holders, in 2021, the VeChain community lowered its transaction fees. 71.08% of community members voted to reduce 1% of gas fees. Albeit a small change, it’s still a great one for average users.
Can I exchange VeChain for real money?
When talking about ‘real money’, most people envision fiat currencies. These are government-issued currencies that are established as legal tender by local regulation. In such a case, the answer is yes. You can swap your VeChain for USD (US dollar), AUD (Australian dollar), GBP (British pound), etc., on our platform at any time. If you decide that you need to have VeChain again at some point in the future, you can always make a reverse conversion, i.e., buy VeChain for crypto or fiat.
Here are a few good reasons to turn your VeChain into real money:
- You have no practical use for it - VeChain is not the most promising investment. Its price prediction for 2026 reveals that the average price to look for is $0.29.
- You are already booking a good profit - It’s wise to sell on a high.
- You expect a price dip.
Here are some of the signs that it’s not a good time to sell for fiat yet:
- VeChain is down - Wait until the coin recovers to avoid losses.
- You want to buy another cryptocurrency - Consider exchanging to another crypto instead of moving your funds to fiat.
- You keep all your savings in fiat - Perhaps it’s time to explore new markets instead of just holding cash.
How to exchange VeChain for cash?
If it’s time to cash out, do it on Changelly! Let’s say the value of your crypto investment is on a decent level, and you can withdraw at a profit. Initiate a sell transaction by clicking or tapping the ‘Sell’ tab on the main page. Thanks to our partner Mercuryo, you can sell crypto via bank card almost instantly. The exchange rate, commission, and the total will all be displayed on the page. In a few clicks, you will be able to send VeChain for a fiat currency of your choice.
Once you receive your money in your bank account, the final step would be to withdraw cash. Find an ATM that is close to you and follow the machine’s instructions to cash out. Of course, if you don’t need physical cash, you can keep the funds on your card and go about your day as usual.
How to move VeChain from exchanges to wallets?
Hopefully, you know that keeping your digital assets in a crypto exchange comes with added risks. Any exchange may mismanage funds, lose them, or even participate in a fraudulent scheme, knowingly or unknowingly. And while digital wallets are not cybersecurity enterprises either, they are much more reliable in handling crypto funds. Here is how you can move crypto from exchanges to wallet services (in general):
- Download a wallet app, create an account, and copy your wallet address.
- Sign in to your exchange account.
- Follow the instructions on the withdrawals page.
- Paste the address of your wallet, choose the desired amount to withdraw.
- Confirm the withdrawal request (sometimes, with the two-factor authentication).
- Congrats! The wallet balance should now display your newly transferred coins.
If you’re looking for wallet suggestions, there are a few ones in our partner list. Take a look at Binance, Coinomi, Infinito Wallet, Freewallet, Ginco, and Flare.

VET VeChain is a native coin on the VeCHain blockchain platform designed for decentralized supply chain management. Right from the start, creators wanted to solve real-world economic problems rather than build something for monetary gain. VeChain aims to streamline complex business processes and information flow through the use of DLT (distributed ledger technology). The idea is that with better digital collaboration, businesses will be able to control their data and communicate more efficiently.
The history of VeChain started in 2015 by Sunny Lu, former chief information officer at Louis Vuitton China, and Jay Zhang, former senior manager in finance and risk management at PwC China and Deloitte UK. They understood the difficulty of tracking an enormous amount of data and figured that decentralization would be beneficial for supply chains. Together, they launched and distributed its cryptocurrency, VEN, on the Ethereum blockchain in 2017. later on, VEN was replaced by VET tokens on the VeChainThor public blockchain.
VeChain helps business owners and their employees get rid of the lack of transparency and delayed data transmission. Some indicators that the platform allows you to track are quality, authenticity, storage temperature, and transportation status. This can be applied to all lines of business, from pharmaceutical companies to luxury goods distributors.
How Is the VeChain Network Secured?
The VeChain system uses the VIP180 standard, which was developed specifically for VeChain, just like ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum’s blockchain. The network security is ensured by a consensus mechanism called proof-of-authority. Unlike Bitcoin’s (and Ethereum’s up until very recently) energy-intensive proof-of-work system, PoA uses relatively little electricity.
PoA blockchains are secured by validator nodes, which were selected as trustworthy entities based on their reputation. So, it’s not about the amount of computing power a node offers or the number of coins staked, it’s about verification by pre-approved participants. Obviously, node operators receive compensation for their work from transaction commissions.
Users can adjust conditions for their systems, but the default ones for PoA are as follows:
Valid and trustworthy identities - Validators need to disclose real, verifiable identities.
The threshold to become a validator - They will need to invest money, put their reputation at stake, and see it as a long-term commitment.
Validator approval standard - All candidates must be chosen using the same method.
What Makes VeChain Unique?
VeChain leverages blockchain technology to allow companies to launch new kinds of dApps. This is where VeChain’s first unique feature comes in - a software development kit called VeChain ToolChain. This is an off-the-shelf blockchain solution that is also low-code/no-code. It is mostly targeted at enterprises and highly scalable processes. The website states that enterprises from material procurement, production and processing, logistics, warehousing, storage, and distribution to the end consumer can all benefit from the VeChain token.
Some of VeChain’s most prominent partners are:
BMW (prevention of fraud in automobile sales);
LVMH (tracking of luxury leather goods);
Walmart (tracking of food provenance).
The next thing is the dual token system. In this case, we’re not talking about VEN, which is long gone. The software utilizes VET and VTHO - the first one is for storing and transferring value and the second one is for blockchain transactions. This helps separate the volatility of both assets. Since VET is more speculative, it fluctuates more. VTHO, on the other hand, remains relatively on the same level and ensures stable fees.
Lastly, we should mention the VeChain Foundation. This is a non-profit entity dedicated to expanding technological research around blockchain, connecting VeChain to real-world business, and increasing crypto adoption. The foundation has a regularly updated Medium blog, which is really helpful for those who want news from a reliable source.
