AMA with Changelly and Infinito

Changelly and Infinito AMA

On October 15th, Changelly had the very first joint AMA with Infinito, a cryptocurrency ecosystem including a highly secure Infinito Wallet, Infinito App Square, Infinito Blockchain Platform, and InfinitoPAY with its own native cryptocurrency, the INFT token. Team members present on the discussion with our community were CBDO Ilyas Sultan and Infinito’s Business Director Fedor Bushlanov. Here are the essential points of the session:

Please welcome Fedor (F) and Ilyas (I) and the questions from Google Form and Livestream.

Questions from the Google form:

@vy222 asked Infinito and Changelly: What will the collaboration between Infinito and Changelly bring? Do you think decentralized finance will change traditional finance?

F: Thanks for the question. It’s really essential to understand what is decentralized exchange because decentralization is the whole concept of blockchain – allowing one to transfer data without needing to trust a third party, which is, in the traditional finance world, a bank. You send your money to the bank and then it sends money to the recipient, that’s the conventional concept. In the blockchain world, there’s no need for a third party in these transactions.

That is why collaboration with decentralized and instant exchanges like Changelly that never keeps hold of your money, is essential for us to give users a genuinely decentralized finance experience.

I: I believe that the partnership between our two companies proves to be one of the most fruitful in any way. Back in June 2019, at the first step of our companies’ collaboration, Changelly instant exchange dApp was added to Infinito App Square to give Infinito Wallet users access to Changelly’s service.

The next step in the strategic partnership between our two companies became the integration of Changelly’s API directly inside the Infinito Wallet. Thanks to this integration, owners of Infinito Wallet can now seamlessly trade dozens of cryptocurrencies directly from the wallet interface.

And that’s not all. Since June this year, Changelly’s Instant Exchange API has also been integrated into on Infinito’s blockchain infrastructure, IBP, for companies who wish to integrate instant crypto exchange functionality into their services. It’s also been great news. Together with Infinito, we are providing a comprehensive non-custodial instant exchange solution for both users and blockchain businesses.

@vy222 asked Changelly: Is Changelly planning to develop OTC and support Fiat money? I can buy cryptocurrencies with a credit card via Changelly, can I also sell cryptocurrencies and receive payment to my bank account?

I: All Changelly users can buy crypto with a bank card through our partners – Simplex and Indacoin. The process is as seamless as exchanging one crypto for another. Unfortunately, the crypto-to-fiat functionality is not presented in our service so far. Yet we are open to this possibility in the future.

Question from @hiampluto: Can you name some utility advantages of the Native Exchange feature? Is Infinito currently targeting decentralized exchanges?

F: Definitely, we are targeting decentralized finance services, to integrate their applications and services natively into the Infinito ecosystem just like Changelly. Speaking about INFT token, which was listed 2 months ago on the market, we definitely see a big future for it.

Our team is working to have the Infinito token on more exchanges, including on Changelly, so users will be able to exchange INFT through our partner services & seamlessly use INFT to pay for different applications and services integrated either natively to Infinito Wallet or on our decentralized application marketplace Infinito App Square.

@matanajwa for Changelly: What is the goal to increase total registered users of Changelly, and are there any long-term benefits for them?

I: We at Changelly really appreciate our users, especially those ones who’ve been with us since the very beginning of the Changelly space trip! We try to help our loyal users to get the most out of cryptocurrency.

We are proud to offer our Affiliate program and share 50% of our revenue with them. Changelly affiliates can use a widget or an affiliate link to earn extra profits. On top of that, we offer the fairest rate on the market and charge one of the lowest fees.

We always run various types of crypto contests like the one with zero-commission swaps from the Infinito wallet. By doing that, we are trying to bring as much joy and rewards to the crypto community as we can.

@silvertis for Infinito: Loyalty reward programs are currently very popular, does Infinito have plans to include a loyalty program featuring INFT in your roadmap as it’s a very popular and traditional way anytime soon?

F: Users want useful services, especially those where they can utilize Infinito token to pay or get rewards in INFT by completing some challenges, quests, and even just to learn how to use cryptocurrency. Specifically, loyalty programs are one of the keys to attracting consumers from the traditional fiat-based market.

We believe that, in the cryptocurrency world, such services will begin to appear more, and Infinito definitely will be targeting them. Right now, we are collaborating with local partners in Vietnam related to loyalty programs, and in the future, we also plan to collaborate with providers from other countries to approach all ecosystem users.

@Mx254 for both Infinito and Changelly: With many blockchain projects and cryptocurrencies out there, what do you think will distinguish the ones that create true impact?

I: Crypto entrepreneurs need to form a clear and profitable idea, prepare a broad roadmap, and assemble a team of specialists who can implement the idea and help it come to succeed. That’s basically all. The first rule we all should remember is that any investment requires a thorough preliminary analysis. I’m fairly certain that if those crypto startups continue following their roadmap, and keep buckled in until the era of cryptocurrency mass adoption, they can truly make their investors extremely wealthy.

F: Startups in the crypto world are not too different from traditional startups – they need to ask themselves similar questions, which are: who am I targeting aka who are my consumers, what values do I create for them, how do I deliver this value to them, how do I communicate with my market, who are my competitors, etc. If they can properly address these issues, they can surely gain trust & support from both consumers & investors.

@hg144 for Infinito: Currently, there are many Ecosystems like Infinito’s model with wallet, DApp Browser, and payment platform. What is Infinito’s competitive advantage compared to them?

F: We believe that it is all about the vision, how do we see the future of Infinito ecosystem in comparison with other services. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, but the experience of decentralized applications and cryptocurrency payments today are far from what is expected by traditional users from the fiat world to successfully convince them to join the crypto world. This is the critical vision of the Infinito ecosystem, which makes us special.

We care a lot about user experience – about the 1st step they take when buying a cryptocurrency when they try out their first decentralized application. That is why we built the wallet and App Square as a marketplace natively integrated inside the wallet. And, this is linked to the previous question about startups, there are genius developers out there with no experience in sales or marketing.

So how can they create their first blockchain business through their own-built DApp? This is why we provide Infinito Blockchain Platform in addition to Infinito App Square, where they can use tools to efficiently develop apps and publish to Infinito Wallet to provide services to global user communities. By doing this, we are creating a community-driven ecosystem where users benefit from one another and create a better environment with a better experience that’s been missing in the blockchain world.

@paraphan for Changelly: Does Changelly team have a plan to improve transaction processing time and lower the minimum requirement per transaction? Do you plan to have more coins supported soon?

I: We are continually expanding the number of cryptos listed on Changelly service. Every asset that is presented on Changelly has its own value, effective roadmap, and supportive community. Speaking of the idea regarding lowering the minimum amount for a transaction, it actually depends. Crypto-to-crypto conversions, our minimum sum is low enough though we keep monitoring the current market situation. In case we notice the demand from users, we’ll surely lower this number. If you mean minimum requirements for fiat-to-crypto exchanges, it has been reduced not long ago, so now it’s just $50.

@paraphan for both Infinito and Changelly: Recently, many blockchain projects started to build Defi protocols and applications. What is your opinion regarding the advantages and difficulties of DeFi right now in the blockchain industry?

F: The whole community needs to understand the shift of blockchain services. In the earlier days, when there were only Bitcoin and a few more cryptocurrencies on the market, people exchange these cryptos on centralized exchanges. Nowadays, big centralized exchanges smartly identified Defi as the future of the blockchain industry. This is why titans like Biance built their own DEX, which our wallet was one of the first to integrate support for also since we share the same vision of DeFi being the future of blockchain. This is a significant shift, and since then, many blockchain projects also share this vision and thus decided to build decentralized services rather than centralized ones.

I: I think Fedor was detailed enough answering this question, and briefly speaking, I would say that decentralized finances are here. It obviously has a lot of potentials to become a driving force for a new open economy. So, let’s see:)

@sayudixxx for Changelly: Can you share with the community about the exchange rate of Changelly? Does the source come from a crypto ranking site like Coinmarketcap or another exchange?

I: To begin with, I’d like to underline that Changelly doesn’t use rates from Coinmarketcap, and Coinmarketcap cannot be considered as an exchange source in any case. Changelly’s trading algorithm is integrated into large and reputable crypto exchanges like Binance and HitBTC. Whenever a user swaps one crypto to another through Changelly, the corresponding rate is picked up and suggested to him in real-time. In the span of milliseconds, Changelly correlates the amount to exchange, places bid/ask orders on the trading platforms, and picks up the best rate possible on the market. So, it’s not just one source where we pick rates, but it’s always the best one that we manage to find at this very moment on the market.

@nhile256: Does Infinito want to build its wallet on the web browser?

F: Yes, we are building our decentralized marketplace App Square to be available on desktops also. It’s kinda secret for now, but I’d like to share that we are targeting to be the only dAPP marketplace available on all platforms and screens – desktops, mobiles, tablets, and even in the future, smart TVs.

For the desktop version, we’re implementing WalletConnect functionality. As you know, the desktop wallet should never keep your private keys, just like Infinito Wallet, which is a non-custodial app where users keep their own private keys and passphrases. On the desktop, you’ll be able to see all your balances, transactions, & make payments, but confirmations and other critical parts of transacting would require you to confirm using your mobile app.

For example, desktop App Square will show you a QR to scan with your Infinito Wallet mobile app to confirm the transaction – this is called WalletConnect. Private keys and all sensitive information will stay on your mobile device, but you’ll be able to interact with the desktop marketplace and see your balances by using the mobile app.

@Cris Mon (Facebook) for Infinito: Is Infinito platform tangible for trading?

F: Yes, of course, especially now when we have Changelly natively integrated. You can install Infinito wallet and trade your coins if you feel there is a significant movement coming, especially since Changelly fees are the lowest on the market, as Ilyas has previously mentioned.

The built-in exchange allows for great convenience: the user can trade crypto from the wallet interface without needing any exchange account or depositing funds. Speed & market rates are high-quality from the exchange partner’s service. As partners, we work to offer special promotions, aka discounts for traders as well.

Moderator: Thank you, Fedor and Ilyas. That’s all for Google Form questions. Now let’s move on to live-chat questions.

Moderator: Thank you, Fedor and Ilyas. That’s all for Google Form questions. Now let’s move on to live-chat questions.

@DavidHuan112: In my opinion, DeFi brings a lot of benefits to users, but in fact, DeFi conflicts benefits with the banks, how do you solve this problem?

I: As I said, DeFi has a big potential to become the real driving source of the crypto and world economy, so I think it’s here, and it’s really promising, and I was thrilled to see what’s actually going to happen next.

F: I think it’s a fundamental question that is not related only to cryptocurrency. So banks right now are a 3rd party that charges extra fees by providing the service of delivering your money. In the blockchain, money is delivered just by consensus algorithm, so there’s no need for any middlemen. Of course, banks consider cryptocurrency and blockchain world as competition to them, but that doesn’t only happen in the blockchain world.

Think autonomous cars – Google car, Tesla autopilot – they believe what they’re doing is to enable a future you don’t need a driver – the vehicle can automatically drive you from your home to work, for example. So in a sense, it’s kind of similar: removing the middleman, something that can be automated using blockchain like in cryptocurrency world or smart AI, sensors, and new technologies just like for autonomous cars. In the end, it comes down to the same question – how to remove the middleman & replace it with something better.

@helloluan: In the near future, which products will Infinito and Changelly develop? Do you plan to open futures, margin, or lending?

F: As for Infinito, I briefly mentioned that we are going to launch the desktop version of our decentralized marketplace, which is called App Square. In the next few months, we’ll also be supporting more blockchains and coins, and the next one is Cosmos (ATOM). We also look forward to supporting more services that allow users to trade, earn more, and manage their cryptocurrency wealth. What’s coming next is also a staking platform for Infinito. We’ll start with a few coins that are the most promising in the market right now, and then we’ll expand to more blockchains.

I: First of all, I’m thrilled that Infinito is integrating Cosmos. As you probably know, Changelly has been supporting Cosmos, and ATOM is listed on our platform. So, big news for the Infinito users here that they’ll be able to convert ATOM instantly to any other crypto assets they store in the Infinito wallet.

Speaking regarding Changelly roadmap, we actually have a lot on our plate. I’m not sure it’s the right time to announce all the upcoming features but let me briefly tell you that we are constantly working on expanding the number of assets supported on Changelly, and we are also working on fixed-rates support on our website as so far, this feature has been available only for our API users. And it’s going to be huge. Besides, we currently focus on local markets like Latin America, Asia, and concentrate on promoting Changelly brand. Also, thanks to partnerships, the one with Infinito, for example, helps us to promote Changelly among the local market.

@erinlam: What is the difference between Changelly dAPP and Changelly mobile app?

I: Speaking regarding the differences, our dAPP has pretty much the same set as Changelly payment widget with crypto-to-crypto and fiat-to-crypto conversions. Mobile application, in this case, seems to be a kind of native integration. However, in comparison with dAPP, the mobile app has a more developed exchange set, such as a fixed-rate mechanism allowing Changelly users to swap their assets regardless of cryptocurrency market fluctuations, explore the real-time rate of coins listed, track assets transaction history and more other useful features.

By the way, we recently updated the Changelly mobile application and launched the first iOS version. In case you have iOS device, you have a great chance to install and enjoy an expanded exchange functionality in our brand new mobile application that was available only for Android in the past.

@matanova: What security measure is implemented by Infinito wallet or Changelly exchange to withstand attacks from being hacked?

F: That’s a very fundamental question for the Infinito ecosystem. We answer a lot on our Telegram and via email. By the way, join Infinito Telegram to get answers to your questions. Back to the security measures that Infinito takes to protect our users’ funds, first of all, it doesn’t make any sense to hack our infrastructure. Even in the impossible case, that something could happen, hackers would never have access to our users’ funds because we don’t keep private keys. There is no technical possibility for us to access Infinito wallets from our infrastructure side. Even if there is something wrong with infrastructure, your funds will always be safe on your local device. That’s good news, but it also comes with responsibility: users need to take care of their passphrases and private keys whenever they export. Look around to make sure no one is watching your screen, make sure that you don’t copy and paste private keys into unprotected/risky environments, etc.

On top of the password, we also support fingerprint identification and, shortly, facial recognition, so please rest assured and stay tuned!

@table&7: Why did you name your exchange Changelly & your project Infinito? What do they signify?

I: It’s actually a very good question, and the name of our company is a kinda creative word. The first part – “Change” or “Exchange” was beautifully and creatively combined with the word “quickly” meaning how incredibly fast transactions are conducted on our service. That’s how “Changelly” was born:)

F: Infinito project started 2 years ago when the blockchain world was at the very beginning of its journey. Even now, we believe that blockchain is still at an early stage of its long and big adventure, so the possibilities are limitless – infinite. This is why we call our project “Infinito” because we believe there are lots of great things to be done in the blockchain world, even beyond cryptocurrency. We love to explore these opportunities to build something great for the whole community. We’ve started with the wallet and who knows what will come next. We already know that our possibilities are limitless and Infinite – that is why we are Infinito.
